With the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, a strong demand for UV disinfecting lamps has developed. UV light, especially the UVC region from 255 nm to 265 nm, has been shown to render viruses noninfectious by destroying their genetic material, DNA and RNA.

The 268UVC sensor is optimized for measurement at 254 nm, while other options for different wavelengths include the 268UVA and the 268BLUE, measuring 365 nm and 450 nm, respectively.
