The production facility in Kansas manufactures conventional lighting products. As the demands continues to decline, Signify said it will leverage economies of scale and improve efficiencies by relocating the production of conventional lighting products to its facilities in Poland and India.
The company will gradually start the transition and plans to close the facility in Kansas in the second quarter of 2021.
