The ground-breaking 110” MICRO LED picks up its second award following its success in the T3 awards earlier this month
London, UK – June 24, 2021 – Samsung Electronics UK Ltd. has today announced that its 110” MICRO LED was awarded the Product of the Year in the 2021 Inavate Inavation Awards’ Display category.
Micro LED technology is the future of television, and Samsung is leading the way in making that future happen by delivering the experience in a traditional TV form, through its 110-inch breakthrough MICRO LED product.
Using Samsung’s latest engineering and innovations, the 110” MICRO LED delivers astonishing colour vibrancy with self-emissive LED display technology, accurate brightness from the displays 4K resolution and 8 million pixels.
The ultra-large, next generation TV display boasts a processer powerful enough to live up to its display capabilities, sharing stunning 4K HDR content optimised for each scene. Samsung’s MICRO LED screens are long lasting and durable, with a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours.
The immersive design experience (with its 99.99% screen-to-body ratio) is evident from the moment the 110-inch is turned on, with premium audio equally as immersive with its embedded Majestic Sound System.
The Smart TV features take advantage of the large screen, with capabilities to watch four sources of content simultaneously. Damon Crowhurst, Head of Display, Samsung Electronics (UK) Ltd said, “The possibilities are endless with the Samsung 110” MICRO LED, and it’s no wonder this all-round breathtaking visual experience was awarded the win. The 110” MICRO LED uses micrometer-sized LED lights to eliminate the backlight and colour filters utilised in conventional displays. It is self- illuminating, producing stunningly lifelike colours and brightness through its 24 million individually controlled LEDs.”
