New LED Lights, Line Voltage Flexible LED Strips

With no need for a transformer, you can now install long runs of flexible LED strip without worry about voltage drop. 120 VAC input LED lights are in demand more and more. Customers don’t always have the ability or the space to install transformers to feed 12V and 24VDC LED products. When all you have to do is plug it in, a LED lighting installation becomes as simple as it gets.

Take a look at our new line voltage flexible LED strips. ETL listed, there are no worries about complying with building code, so these are perfectly suitable for a home installation as well as commercial spaces. One of the challenges we face with LED lighting supplied by a transformer is a voltage drop. That means that the farther away you get from the transformer, you can experience a situation where those sections of flexible strip are not as bright as the ones closer to the power supply. For more detail, see our article on voltage drop and how to overcome it. Long and the short of it though, is that some of these techniques are beyond the ability of the homeowner or inexperienced installer. With this new product, you can run up to 164 feet with no worries about losing brightness. This is a custom cut product. In order to preserve the ETL listing, the power plug and built in rectifier must be factory installed. So we will ask you to purchase a one-meter piece for evaluation purposes. Make sure this is exactly what you want, that you like the light output and colour. This new line voltage flexible LED strip is available in warm white, cool white, red, blue and green. Once you decide this is the product for you, we will special order exactly what you need. So measure twice and we’ll cut once. You may return the one-meter section for credit against your larger purchase. This particular product is IP64. It’s OK for wet location but cannot be submerged and is not for use in or around pools or salt water. We do have another product coming in soon that is suitable for those wet, salty or chlorinated conditions. Also, note that this is an IMAP product. That means that the factory dictates an “Internet Minimum Advertised Price”. We cannot publish a lower price on our website. However, most of you are aware that we allow contractor pricing on LED lighting as well as volume discounts. Along with a custom cut for your installation, we will offer a custom price for larger or regular contractor purchases. All of our technical sales representatives are versed on this product. But if you have a particular challenge to overcome and need our resident expert, that would be Mitchell Cohen. Give us a call at 775 841 4490 and ask for Mitchell. Or direct an email to the attention of Mitchell at Sales@TheLEDLight.com Stay tuned, as we have a number of new 120 VAC LED lights and accessories on the way in. Updates here in our blog.
