New LED Lights – Dimmable LED Track Lighting Fixtures

We can quote custom track lighting packages for all of your LED track lighting needs.

Track lighting has become increasingly popular, both in our retail lighting showroom in Carson City NV and with our internet customers. It’s so functional as you can direct the light exactly where you want it. Track lighting makes for excellent task lighting as well as for highlighting art or objects of interest. We started out with a few smaller track lighting packages, but as interest has grown, we’ve expanded this line considerably. There are many different styles of track heads and lengths of track from 2′ up to 8′ in length. Finishes are black, white, brushed nickel and russet bronze. Each customer’s need is quite specific. So we’ll take all the work out of it for you and design a custom package with everything you need from the track, to track heads, to power feeds and even extension wands which allow you to drop the track head down from the ceiling up to 48″. Our track lighting is conventional which means the LED light source is a replaceable light bulb. It is not an integral part of the track head. This makes it easy for you to upgrade as LEDs get brighter and better, or to change colour without changing the fixture. You will find track heads that take R20 or R30 floods. Those are great for ambient lighting and task lighting. More compact fixtures take LED MR16’s or GU10’s. This is the type you want if you want a narrow view angle to highlight distinct objects. MR16 and GU10 lamps provide a similar light output and dimensions. The difference is in the pin configuration and the input voltage. LED MR16 lamps operate at 12V. When you see a track head that has a “box” on it, that is a transformer. The track is installed at 120VAC and the transformer drops the voltage to the lamp down to 12V. A LED Gu10 Lamp, on the other hand, operates directly at 120VAC, eliminating the need for that transformer. Some customers have a preference for the 12V MR16, however, it is the humble opinion of this writer that adding a transformer into the mix is only adding an extra part that may wear out long before your LED lamps do. One of our complete track lighting packages may well suit your needs. Those are typically in stock and can ship the next business day. When you want something customised, check out the custom track lighting package page. Let us know what you like and how much of it, and we’ll put an estimate together for you including power feeds, lamps, track heads and anything else you may need to complete your installation. As always, we’re here to service you and appreciate your business.
