“The LED’s tight color point distinguishes it from other mid power devices in its class. Design kits to 2-step MacAdam ellipse are available for the ultimate in color consistency for demanding lighting applications,” said Sam Wu, Product Manager of Mid Power Products at Lumileds. The LED delivers 36 lm at 65 mA drive current and 202 lm/W, or 220 lm when driven at 480 mA (4000K and 80 CRI).
“LUXEON 2835 HE is ideally suited to troffers, downlights and lamps where fixture efficacy greater than 150 lumen per watt is paramount and LED count must be minimized,” said Wu. Lumileds high reliability design enables the LUXEON 2835 HE to deliver more light for smaller profile, general lighting applications. Unlike many 2835 LED packages on the market, LUXEON 2835 HE is lumen maintenance tested (LM-80) to 12,000 hours, ensuring lumen maintenance of 72,000 hours in the field (L70, TM-21 basis).
LUXEON 2835 HE is available in a wide range of color temperatures and CRIs of 70 to 90 to address a variety of general lighting designs. The LED is available immediately as a drop-in replacement for 2835 LED packages (2.8×3.5 mm) or can replace 5630 (5.6×3.0 mm) or 3030 (3.0×3.0 mm) mid power sockets with similar optical requirements.
