Despite that many countries are preparing to loosen lockdowns and resume economic activities, the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact the high-tech industry. Light + Building 2020, which postponed to late September and early October, has been cancelled.

The event organizers, Mess Frankfurt, ZVEI, ZVEH and the Exhibitor Advisory Council have decided to cancel the event as it is still uncertain how the coronavirus epidemic will develop by September. The world’s largest lighting company Signify has announced that it will not join the rescheduled event. In addition, the attendance might not meet the expectation of the event holder even if it was held considering the continuous international travel restrictions across the world.
Thus, the organizers said they are taking the earliest possible steps to ensure that all concerned incur no unnecessary costs. They also addressed that the stand rental will be fully refunded to the participants.
The next Light + Building will take place in March 13 to 18, 2022.
