A robot from LG Electronics that can move indoors and outdoors
The company announced on July 13 that it introduced an integrated delivery robot at Ubiquitous Robot 2021 held in Gangneung, Gangwon Province on July 12.
The robot can freely move indoors and outdoors. LG Electronics is planning to test-run the new delivery robot toward the end of 2021 after thorough verification.
LG Electronics established LG Boston Robotics Lab in Boston in early 2020. At the lab, the company is working with Kim Sang-bae, a professor of mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), to develop next-generation robot technology with motion intelligence that enables robots to respond quickly to changes like humans. Kim is a world-renowned robot authority and developed the Cheetah series, a four-legged walking robot. He has led the MIT Robotics Research Institute since 2012.
