LEDVANCE signed to join the United Nations Global Compact to illustrate the company’s commitment in four areas of corporate responsibility including human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption.
The Managing Director and CEO of LEDVANCE, Jacob C. Tarn, stated, “In regards to the environmental focus of the Global Compact, we seek to help support the planet by developing modern LED lighting products that save energy and are long-lasting. Our global footprint is another area where we have strived to maximize efficiencies for the betterment of the planet. Here though, we can and will do more, as there are always ways we can improve our processes to be an even more responsible global citizen.”
To make more contribution to the society, LEDVANCE is working on reducing its electricity and natural gas usage and increasing the recycling rates.
