They’re back! Our USA LED factory took these LED puck lights off the market early last year because the price of the Corian material used for the shell had increased so much in price, it simply wasn’t conceivable to continue to produce them. The good news is that sometimes prices come down, and we’re so glad to have this low voltage LED under cabinet lighting option back on our shelves at an even lower price than last year. The Corian shell has a smooth, creamy texture. It’s not only durable and easy to clean, but it’s beautiful. These are the LED puck lights of choice for cabinet lighting applications where you will see the fixture itself. Think of bookcases, entertainment centres or display cases where the lighting may be at or above eye level. The visual appeal of the fixture itself has made this low profile LED light the puck light of choice for professional cabinet makers. It’s only 1/2″ thick and can be installed easily in the shallowest of locations. The LED is a clean, Cool White 5400K Cree XLamp® XRE Q4. With 120 degrees light spread, it produces about 110 lumens. The wide light spread makes it so you need fewer pucks to accomplish a smooth and even light on the surface. Power consumption is only 4 watts (330 mA), so these LED puck lights are perfect in a situation you may want to leave the light on all night. They can even be used outdoors in a sheltered location such as under a railing on your deck or porch. They provide just enough light for you to see your way safely in the dark. Intelligently designed, you have two mounting options. The back plate can be removed easily and the wiring completely is hidden in the space above. Or, you can leave the back plate in place and have the wire exit from the side. Low voltage LED under cabinet lighting operates at 12VDC with an AC-DC transformer, so installation is as easy as plugging the transformer into an outlet. Some of you may remember that our LED pucks had a sister line of LED light bars made with the same Corian material and the same Cree LED.
