Jade Bird Display (JBD) from China revealed its latest Micro LED development at CES 2020. The company showcased a 0.31-inch display with a brightness of 3 million nits and another ultra-fine pitch display, reported online media Road to VR.

The high brightness Micro LED display has a resolution of 1280*720 and a pixel pitch of 5µm. Despite its small size, JBD realized a brightness of 3 million nits, which is 4800 times brighter than the display of iPhone 11.
With ultra-brightness, the display is made for AR/VR application in order to simply the optical design and reduce production cost.
Another Micro LED display achieve a resolution of 2560*1440 with a pixel pitch of 2.5µm on a 0.31-inch display area. This display also has a brightness of 150,000 nits.
Both of the displays are in mono color, aiming at AR/VR projection applications. JBD said that it is developing full-colored and two-colored Micro LED and will unveil more applications.
