Inventronics Shrinks Size of Low Voltage Input 1200W Controls-Ready LED Drivers — LED professional

The EBM-1K2SxxxMG series is optimal for building intelligent lighting systems. They are equipped with Inventronics Controls-Ready features of Dim-to-Off and Always-On Auxiliary Power sourcing up to 12V/250mA to allow them to work with a wide variety of sensors and controls. These features allow the EBM series to power controls modules directly, bypassing the power and voltage restraints associated with power packs and AC relays to help reduce installation costs and additional wiring.

The EBM-1K2SxxxMG is a compact, high-powered solution that can be designed into a multitude of luminaires. By using one EBM Series LED driver instead of multiple lower-wattage drivers it eliminates the extra costs of mounting gear and junction boxes while providing more flexibility in the lighting fixture design. They also supply a low inrush current (lpeak ≤ 20 A @ 277 Vac) to allow for more drivers per Micro Circuit Breaker (MCB), avoid the additional equipment expenses and provide a better fit with existing installations.

The new series offers three models supplying 1200 W and operates over a 176 – 350 Vac input voltage range. They provide a high-level of design versatility with programmable full-power output currents from 2.6-7.4 A and multiple dimming options including Isolated 0-10V, PWM and multiple timer options. This helps to reduce inventory even more and removes the need to design-in numerous LED drivers for multiple configurations. They are highly reliable with up to 96% efficiency and a calculated lifetime of 100,000 hrs. at TC 70°C case temperature.

In addition to their flexibility, the EBM series offers robust thermal management with a unique mechanical design allowing for better heat distribution and cooling. They are IP66 and IP67 rated, which is ideal for environmentally harsh indoor and outdoor conditions typical of high-powered applications such as industrial and horticulture lighting. They have a high level of built-in surge protection: 6 kV line-to-line and 10 kV line-to-earth and Input Under Voltage (IUVP) and Input Over Voltage (IOVP) protection for regions with unstable power quality. The EBM series also implements external over-temperature protection for LED modules, another key factor in significantly improving reliability and extending lifetime.

The EBM series also provides users with a complete overview of the driver health diagnostics to allow users to reduce maintenance costs, perform preventative maintenance and track assets. Inventronics proprietary Digital Dimming feature is implemented through Inventronics programming software, utilizing the 0-10V dimming feature to read back data from the driver over a Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (UART). In addition, the EBM series provides and End-of-Life indicator.

The new series is approved to CE, CB, CCC, and KCC standards. Production quantities of the EBM-1K2SxxxMG are available now. Additional information can be found on the Inventronics website at www.inventronics-co.com
