Lower lumen output under cabinet LED light bars to give you a lower priced option.
Let’s face it – times are still hard and sometimes, the price makes a difference between whether you can or cannot install new LED cabinet lights. In some cases, such as our newly introduced economy LED light bulbs, a customer would have to trade off some important options such as dimming and beam spread. But with our new Economy line of linkable LED under cabinet lighting, the trade off is only lumen output. You can enjoy all the features of our High-Performance Series LED cabinet lights including all of the very same modular connectors and plugs, and a choice of colour temperature and lengths from 9″ up to 45″. 120VAC LED lights are becoming more and more popular. These are already money saving as there is no AC-DC transformer to purchase or find a place for. Our linkable LED under cabinet lighting installs as simple as plugging into an outlet. If you’d prefer to use a wall switch or dimmer, you can also opt to install a special modular junction box. The installation is still plugging and play. OK, you say, I like that idea. But just how much lumen output do I have to sacrifice? Take a look at the comparison below. A LED light bulb equivalent to a 60W incandescent bulb is about 800 lumens. That means that 200 lumens would be equivalent to about 15 watts. Make a careful analysis of how much light you actually need for the task. Lighting under kitchen cabinets where food preparation tasks are being done, or over a work bench where tedious tasks are performed would require more light output than lighting a curio cabinet or bookshelf. The task you need to accomplish is the most important factor of all. As the length increases, the lumen output of the Economy Grade LED under cabinet lights may be more than adequate. Would a 100-150W incandescent bulb be adequate in a 39″ or 45″ space? Probably. The choice is yours. We hope this is helpful to you when you are shopping for LED cabinet lights. Make sure you are comparing apples with apples. If you don’t have a handle on lumen output, when a product looks similar to a high performance LED product, your purchase may be driven by price alone. That could end up being costly in the long run. As always here at TheLEDLight.com, we offer options and will continue to add economy LED lights to our product line up. When we do, we will always identify these as ‘economy options’ and be sure to tell you what trade-offs you are making for the lower price. Questions about this product? Please contact us. We appreciate your business and look forward to working with you.
