LED MicroStars – Multi-purpose LED lights can be used in many ways

12V single LED lights are waterproof lighting fixtures and have a wide operating voltage range  LED MicroStars have been a staple here at TheLEDLight.com for more than 10 years, and it’s no wonder they continue to be popular. These single LED lights are available in white, amber, red, blue and green and are so versatile. Most 12V LED lights operate at 12 VDC with little tolerance below or above. That is why it is important to use a regulated voltage output power supply, or if using battery or solar power, to protect your 12V LED products with a voltage regulator or fuse. LED MicroStars are one of the few single LED lights that will operate anywhere between 8 and 15VDC. That means when your battery is wearing down, you will still have light output. And, during a battery charge cycle when your battery can put out as much as 15VDC, your LED lights will not be damaged. It is still wise to use a fuse if you expect your battery output to ever be beyond 15VDC.

allows you to think out of the box. Recently we were contacted by a farmer who had a problem to solve. He uses a green sensing sprayer which is 40 feet wide with 40 units spaced one foot apart. He needs to be able to see when the units fire. The units are equipped with a small red 12 Volt LED on the rear that cannot be seen from the tractor and he was looking for 12V LED Lights with one super bright LED on the end that could be tapped into the power source on the spray head pointing toward the tractor so he can see when the units fire. With weatherproof accessories such as the holder and flexible stalks, the red LED MicroStars can easily be adapted to his farm equipment and solve his problem quite economically. The same accessories make the LED MicroStar ideal for LED landscape lighting. Aim the light where you want it to add colour and interest to your landscape.

Another versatile feature is the dual mounting option which permits these white and coloured LED lights to be mounted with the flange above or below the plane of the surface. When you want to create something like a starry night effect, you would mount the MicroStars with the flange below the surface,

showing just a pinpoint of light. This same feature makes using these as model train LED lights functional and enjoyable. Create traffic signals with red, amber and green LED MicroStars, add a warm glow to the inside of a building, or add white lights to your street lights.
