Annette Clayton Re-Elected NEMA Board of Governors Chair — LED professional

“We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to write the next chapter for the American electrical manufacturing industry and that is to drive the necessary changes to realize an electrified and sustainable future,” said Clayton in remarks at the organization’s annual meeting. “My sincere appreciation goes to the Board of Governors and membership for their confidence in giving me the privilege to offer my service to this great association. I also look forward to Debra Phillips’ leadership as NEMA approaches its 100th anniversary.”

“On behalf of NEMA, I would like to congratulate Annette on her re-election,” said NEMA President and CEO Debra Phillips. “Her re-election demonstrates the Board’s confidence in her abilities to continue guiding us on a path toward America’s electrified future. I look forward to working with her, as well as our new and returning Board members in what will be an exciting year ahead for the electroindustry.”

In addition to Clayton, the NEMA Board of Governors re-elected a slate of officers: Vice-Chair Richard Stinson, Southwire Company; Treasurer Jack Nehlig, Phoenix Contact; and Immediate Past-Chair Raj Batra, Siemens USA.

The members also elected three individuals to fill vacancies on the Board of Governors: Anthony Allard, Hitachi Energy, Tom Deitrich, Itron, and Trevor Palmer, Acuity Brands Lighting and Lighting Controls.

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) represents nearly 325 electrical equipment and medical imaging manufacturers that make safe, reliable, and efficient products and systems. Our combined industries account for 370,000 American jobs in more than 6,100 facilities covering every state. These industries produce $124 billion in shipments and $42 billion in exports of electrical equipment and medical imaging technologies per year.
