ams OSRAM (SIX: AMS), a global leader in optical solutions and ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solutions, join forces in the latest high brightness WXGA Lamp-Free Projector for business and education, the LS600W WXGA LED Projector. With ams OSRAM’s Ostar Projection Power LED family as primary light source, LS600W can achieve a brightness of up to 3,000 ANSI lumens, providing an extraordinary performance in different use cases.

“ams OSRAM closely partners with ViewSonic to explore more possibilities in developing exceptional LED projectors,” says Alvin Tse, Vice President of Sales for the Greater China and RoA* region at ams OSRAM. “Our OSRAM Ostar Projection Power portfolio empowers ViewSonic’s flag-ship product, delivering outstanding brightness values.”

Latest generation LED technology enables LS600W to achieve 30,000-hrs lifespan: lamp-free, lercury-free, maintenance-free.

The ViewSonic LS600W is equipped with ams OSRAM’s Ostar Projection Power (LE x P2MQ/AQ) with 0.65” DLP imagers, which can easily achieve high brightness and greatly improve imaging details and performance. Adopting latest generation LED technology the projector frees users from frequent lamp replacement and toxic mercury. It offers an amazing 30,000 hours lifespan, true-to-life colors with 125% Rec.709, as well as instant power on/off for convenient and time-saving operation. Its comprehensive LAN control eases multiple device management and is compatible with Crestron, AMX, Extron, PJ Link, ATEN, and ViewSonic’s vController. The projector offers installation flexibility with 1.2x optical zoom, H/V Keystone, and 4 corner adjustment features. Its 360° tilt angle projection capability further allows creative projections onto ceilings, floors, or angled signage.

“Thanks to ams OSRAM’s LED technology, we have been able to upgrade our commercial projector lineup with Lamp-Free solutions,” said Dean Tsai, Head of Projector & LED Display BU at ViewSonic. “Eliminating toxic mercury pollution as well as troublesome lamp replacement, ViewSonic is committed to lighting the future of commercial projection.”

Compared with other products of the same power consumption, ams OSRAM’s Ostar Projection Power family requires less working current, less complex LED drivers and simpler contacts between components – making it easier for system designers to optimize their products. Due to the improvement in packaging technology, this series of LEDs can be directly coupled with the heat sink without requiring additional isolation. The mechanical part of new products inherits the basic framework of the previous generation, which ensures that customers can quickly and conveniently exchange products in their existing projector system at lower costs.
