Alurays Lighting Technology GmbH Mourns the Death of Walter Ziegler — LED professional

Walter Ziegler, having previously held senior positions in the Zumtobel Group,  joined Alurays lighting technology GmbH in Planegg near Munich in the fall of 2014, first as a consultant, then in the summer of 2015 as a shareholder. The past two years were spent as sole managing director.

Within a few years, through enormous personal dedication, he managed to turn an up-and-coming startup, then still based in Munich-Pasing, into a successful medium-sized company in Planegg near Munich. Born in Schweinfurt, Germany, the business graduate made a decisive contribution to the company’s remarkable and rapid development. This is characterized, above all, by growth in the export business in the Near and Middle East. During this time, licensed companies were founded in Doha (Qatar) and Ahmedabad (India), that operate as successful companies in their own right today. His experience and commitment also helped Alurays lighting technology GmbH to significantly expand the business field of OEM manufacturing for luminaires with a high degree of protection.

Today, Alurays lighting technology GmbH is the German technology leader for intelligent, encapsulated and long-life linear LED systems in facades, based on know-how that has been continuously developed since 2003.
