And now, we also have a 150W incandescent replacement in 5000K daylight white and 2700K warm white. All of these are Omni-directional which means you get full light output from the top to the bulb to very near the base. No dark shadows! And now we are pleased to unveil high output LED bulbs in the tradition of your incandescent 3-Way light bulbs. In stock in a 30/70/100W replacement in 3000K and a 50/100/150W replacement in 2700K. These are great for table lamps, floor lamps and swing arm lamps with a 3-way socket. What do we need to know about 3-way light bulbs?
A 3-way socket has an extra contact point. Let’s take the 30/70/100W 3-way lamp as an example. With the first turn of the switch, you would turn on the 30W power. With the second turn of the switch, you would turn on the 70W power. With the third turn of the switch, you would turn on both, equating to 100W power. Keep in mind that when you are using a LED 3-way bulb, you are using only 8, 16 or 22W instead which is a huge saving over an incandescent light source. If you were to put a 3-way light bulb in a standard socket, you would achieve only one brightness level. If you were to put a standard light bulb in a 3-way socket, you would achieve only one brightness level and may have to turn the switch up to three times to get the lamp to light. In other words, if you want 3-way light levels, you must have both a 3-way socket and a 3-way light bulb. Please also pay attention to our products’ dimensions. If you are replacing a 3-way incandescent bulb in a lamp that has a harp, you may have to replace the harp in order to accommodate the LED 3-way bulbs. Measure first, cut later 🙂 LED light bulbs have come a very long way in a short period of time. Look forward to even brighter LED light bulbs in even smaller packages, and rely upon TheLEDLight.com to provide those as soon as they are not just available, but have passed our stringent evaluation process.
