Landscapes flooded with colour aren’t just for the holidays. But this time of year, those of us who create colourful holiday scenes are particularly interested in energy saving LED lamps that can withstand weather safely. Whether your lighting is going to be temporary or permanent, you can pair up our sturdy PAR lamp holder with IP65 wet location rated LED PAR lamps. Shown below is our new line of coloured LED PAR lamps which will be coming early 2016. If you need coloured PARs now, we’ll make a special deal with our blog followers for any remaining stock. Find those here and then email us or call us at 775-841-4490 to obtain your deep discount.
The dual mount PAR holder is constructed of sturdy, weatherproof plastic. You can either wall mount it or use the included ground stake. The cord is 6′ long. The head rotates 180 degrees so you can point the light exactly where you want it. The cord is 18-2 and easy to hide between shrubs or ground cover. It’s rated for 100W indoors and 150W outdoors, so that is more than ample capacity for our new LED floodlights which consume only 15W. As an aside, when you’re using any type of control, dimmer or light fixture that is rated for a maximum capacity in watts, you use the actual watts consumed by the LED lighting and not the incandescent equivalent watts. Our new coloured PAR lamps have the familiar look and feel of a halogen PAR lamp. With the silvered reflector, traditional lens pattern and exact dimensions of older halogen PARs, our new coloured PAR lamps represent an exact replacement. The only difference you’ll notice is in greatly reduced energy and maintenance costs. And, they are dimmable which will allow you to control the entire look and feel of your landscape design. Best of all, we will be able to offer a better price! If you’re last minute shopping, it’s not too late to pick up something from our online LED lighting store. We will be open next week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Orders placed by noon on Wednesday will ship, barring something unforeseen. New Year’s week we will be open as usual, closing only on Friday, January 1st. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your business during 2015. We appreciate that very much and will look forward to serving you in the coming year.
