LED Fun Stuff for Halloween and some Safety Tips

Consider some of our LED safety lights and LED traffic batons for your children for Trick or Treat Day.

It depends on your community, but typically Halloween trick or treat hours are generally between 5 and 9 PM. This year, Halloween falls on a Saturday, so you can expect to see little princesses, cartoon characters and ghosts and goblins earlier in the day than usual. Please take some extra precautions while driving. Children are excited and are apt to move in unpredictable ways. In particular, be extra vigilant at street corners and while making turns, and give the children right of way. Enter and exit driveways and alleys with particular care. Eliminate any distractions inside your vehicle so you can concentrate and be particularly aware of your surroundings. We should even turn on our headlights earlier than usual and above all, SLOW DOWN. As for the children, it’s fun to decorate your trick or treat bag, so why not use reflective tape or stickers. Use face paint instead of a mask that can slip and obstruct your vision. Parents, make sure the child’s costume fits well so the possibility of trips and falls is avoided. And teach your children to make eye contact with drivers, particularly at intersections to make sure they have been seen and have safe permission to cross streets. The face of Halloween has changed dramatically over the years. Have you thought about what to treat? An awful lot of the traditional candy and fruit collected in those bags is disposed of when the children return home because of the possibility of malicious activity. And even if the packages are sealed, many parents simply do not want their children to ingest so much sugar. So think in terms of school supplies, stickers, small toys or softballs. Inasmuch as I don’t want leftover candy around to the detriment of my waistline 🙂 I save change over the course of the year. The little ones can grab a hand full and they are pleased to do so
