Epistar Expects Stronger Demands of Horticulture Lighting and IR LED and Will Launch Mini LED Gaming Products in Q4

Many LED manufacturers have prepared themselves when entering the peak quarter of a year. Taiwanese LED chip maker, Epistar has also reported the increasing demands from the market for four-element LEDs, LED backlights and Mini LED applications.

Epistar continues to increase its production for four-element LEDs, responding to the rising demands of horticulture and IR LED lighting. The demands of blue light LED also grow with the rebound of backlight applications in mobile phones. The shipment of premium TV products in the U.S. and Europe market lifted the need for TV backlight applications as well.

Epistar has been talking with clients regarding Mini LED applications in end-products including smartphones, gaming monitors, automotive panels and TV displays. According to sources from the supply chain, Mini LED gaming products are expected to launch in Q4. Epistar has also provided Mini LED solutions for smartphone applications but the products’ timeline will depend on the plans of its clients.
