This article will show some interesting ideas for applications using LED lighting for restaurants and bars. The atmosphere that is created in either type of establishment can convey a relaxing mood or generate excitement. It’s a simple matter of making informed product decisions and we’re here to help you with that. Some of our LED lighting products can be employed in ways that conventional lighting products can’t. The most obvious advantage is that LEDs are far more efficient than incandescent or halogen type lighting. Next is their long lifespan which outlasts conventional lighting by many years. Add to that the option of having RGB colour changing LED strip lights, and you have quite a bit of variety to employ in your bars and restaurants. RGB doesn’t have to be isolated to those establishments that want flash and movement. Read on to discover how you can change your accent colours seasonally or select pinks, purples, and other hues.
We carry single white or colored LEDs that are ideal for use as accent or decorative lights. These single LED lights are very affordable and add small pinpoints of light to an otherwise plain or dark and uninteresting area. Our tiny Northstar single LED lights can be used in a handrail for example. Our LED Micro stars come in white and colours and can be installed into plantings, walls, and even ceilings for a starry night effect.
We are now offering a new type of LED light bulb which cozy restaurants in particular love. This new technology is called warm tone dimming. The colour of the light output warms up as the lamps are dimmed down, creating a very warm ambience. This is just one way of creating a relaxing and romantic mood in your space. Many of our customers have found that they can use our aluminum channel for LED strip lights. This not only makes the installation look very professional but also allows for the use of a cover lens in either clear or frosted. That, in turn, allows for easy cleanup and protects the flexible strip as well. The aluminium channel can be installed with mounting brackets, or it can be glued or taped (double sided tape) to a surface such as shelving in bars. Liquor bottles are different colours as is the liquor inside. When lit, the product is enhanced as well as the room’s ambience. On the subject of flexible LED strip, there are many choices of flex strip to enhance the look of a restaurant or bar. Although it may not suit every application it is hard not to find a good place to use RGB colour changing LED strip lights. In case you are not familiar with the term, RGB stands for Red, Green, and Blue and is controlled with a colour controller which allows the user to change colours and modes at will. Blue and green combine to produce turquoise, green and red combine to produce yellow, red and blue combine to make violet, red, green and blue combine to make white. There are literally more than 16,000,000 possibilities with the more sophisticated controllers. When RGB strip is mounted under shelves in a bar, the bottles and glasses change colour and become an eye-catching centrepiece. Installed in an aluminium channel it can be used in a toe-kick application or on the underside of a billiard table or counter. And for those of you who have translucent counter or bar areas, consider uplighting from beneath the surface with our directional flexible LED strip. It’s simply stunning to create patterns from underneath or highlight just the edges. The counter material acts as the diffuser and your imagination is your only limitation.
Another way to add a complete but simple and affordable makeover to a room is by installing our crown molding for LED lighting. It has been designed especially to accommodate lighting with a built in a channel along the back to house the LED strip and wiring. RGB flexible LED strip can add colour and excitement. White flexible LED strip provides some ambient light while softening the wall space and adding visual appeal.
