Now you have a choice of two colour temperatures for your LED ceiling lights. Also, bendable flexible LED strips are on the way. Today we have just a couple of quick new product alerts for you. We also have a new blog feature coming next month.

Last month we introduced our new LED ceiling light fixtures. These 120VAC LED lights connect directly to your existing junction box. Simply take down Plain Jane fixtures in the bedroom or hallway and install these sleek white or satin nickel trim LED ceiling lights in their places. These ceiling lights so feature rich. Packing 820 lumens, they produce the equivalent of a 60-watt incandescent bulb. They are IC rated so there are no worries about insulation. And with both Energy Star and UL listing for damp location, they are even suitable for bathrooms and other damp areas, including commercial installations. And now to make them even more appealing, these LED ceiling lights are now available in 5000K cool white as well as the original 3000K warm white. This applies to the White finish LED ceiling light only. Satin Nickel is still available only in 3000K. Colour temperature is an important choice. You want all of the light fixtures in an area to have a uniform look and feel. If you’ve already installed 5000K under cabinet lights, a warmer 3000K ceiling fixture may look dingy in comparison. Problem solved.

Also an update on the bendable flexible LED strips. We have daylight and warm white in production now. The stock is expected in early February. Some of you have asked about RGB bendable flexible LED strips. Our engineers have decided that RGB simply isn’t practical. Why? Because RGB LED strip product must have four solder points that are particularly close together as these are made with a very small 2835 LED chip. That being said, the risk of damage to the connection points is too great, and the bendable aspect of this strip would be lost. We will be able to special order solid colours for you should you have the need – blue, green and yellow. As to our new blog feature, next month we will begin a series of “Ask a LED Tech” articles. Many of you have common questions. Although we try to put as much pertinent information about our products on each page, some of you may be new to LED lighting or even new to electronics in general. Do you have a question? Let us know. One of our experienced LED technicians will flesh out the answer in much greater detail than we can possibly do on product pages. We’ll look forward to hearing from you.
