Blog – New LED Lights

Many times on this blog we’ve said that LED lighting technology changes and improve on a constant basis. It wasn’t so long ago that we didn’t have a dimming option for 120VAC input LED lights.

We’re seeing brighter and better colour rendering LED lights designed to last even longer. We’re seeing manufacturers offer a more substantial warranty. And now, we’re beginning to see the offering of LED light fixtures fitted with field replaceable LED light sources. What an advantage! As careful as we are about quality control and pre-sale product testing, the fact is that there is a small possibility that one of our LED light fixtures may fail prematurely. When a home or business doesn’t have whole-building surge protection, instabilities in the power grid can damage a LED light source just as it would blow an incandescent lamp. Human error at the factory and even hidden shipping damage can cause a LED light source to fail just as shipping damage can cause any product to fail. In the past, you’d have to remove the entire fixture and return it to us for repair or replacement. Depending on how far you are from our facility in Carson City NV, that could leave you with a hole in the ceiling for up to two weeks. You don’t like that and neither do we.

Here are adjustable LED downlights you’ll never have to worry about replacing again. It’s a simple, three-piece LED light fixture consisting of an adjustable trim, a GU10 socket and a LED GU10 bulb. LED GU10 bulbs have recently crossed the brightness line. Previously they were the equivalent of a 35W halogen. Now they are the equivalent of a 50W halogen. So now you have the ability to change the colour temperature or increase the brightness of your adjustable LED downlights whenever a brighter or different Kelvin GU10 bulb becomes available by simply replacing the LED GU10 bulbs. These adjustable LED downlights make great LED cabinet lights. Fully adjustable by set-screws on the side of the trim ring, it’s easy to point the light in a direction to highlight objects and collectables. As LED ceiling light fixtures, you can point the light at wall art, or focus it on a reading chair.
