Flexible LED strips in a bag with everything you need. Really? Don’t discount the value of LED lighting support.
As LED lighting becomes more and more popular, you’re going to see a lot of LED lighting in a bag, supposedly with everything you need to complete your project. While a kit like that may suffice for a simple project, chances are, it’s not really going to include everything you need without waste or a lack of something simple, like one more connector. Although we could easily make kits, we don’t, simply because every lighting project is different and every customer has an experience level peculiar to themselves. There are many kinds of flexible LED strips to choose from. Take a look at our flexible LED strips index page. We stock all of these variations because there is a specific need for each type. You’ll find 3000K warm white, 2700K warm white, 5000K daylight white, red, blue, green, amber and RGB colour changing. You’ll also find waterproof and non-waterproof, as well as flexible LED strip with different size chips and densities. If you’re an experienced installer, you know what you want and you’ll easily put your order together. If you’re not, that’s where our LED lighting support team can be an invaluable resource to you. So don’t be daunted. We’re here to help you. We suggest that you use our “call me back” form with some basic information as to what you want to accomplish. What do you want to light? Is it indoors or outdoors? Will you want the ability to dim? What kind of power is accessible at the location? Will you be installing LED strips in an area where they could easily be bumped or damaged? Aluminium installation channel with a cover is available for situations like that. Armed with some basic facts, we can put together an entire package to perfectly suit your needs. Many customers new to LED lighting are confused by power supplies. Flexible LED strip typically operates at 12VDC and requires an AC-DC transformer. What size do you need? Will the power supply need to be waterproof? Do you plan to possibly add to your installation later? All of these questions need to be considered when selecting an appropriate supply. Also, be aware that it is not good to operate a power supply at maximum capacity. That could cause the power supply to fail prematurely, and possibly even damage your LED strips. There is also a dimmable transformer option which will allow you to dim your lights with a standard household dimmer. What about custom cuts and connectors? Most flexible LED strip product can be cut on the cut marks in between every three LEDs. Couplers are used to connect cuts side by side. Single or double ended connectors are used to connect pieces together with space in between. The last thing you want to do is come up short one or two connectors to complete your project. RGB flexible LED strip becomes a bit more complex because you will also need an RGB colour controller. That too has to be sized according to the amount of flexible LED strip you will use. Do you want a remote control? Or a wall control? Or perhaps even WiFi? Measure twice, cut once as they say. We’re here to make sure you have the right control for your job.
