Blog – Commercial LED Lighting

Made in the USA, these LED Billboard Lights can be used as LED security lights, LED sign lighting fixtures and LED floodlights for general outdoor lighting applications.

Low voltage, safe and easy to install, this line of LED billboard and security lights are USA LED products, produced in America with American goods. We continue to seek out homegrown LED producers for a number of reasons. First, because you like it and so do we. It’s economical in the long run as there are no long lead times involved, and no need for us to purchase hundreds of an item in order to avoid high freight in costs. It’s feasible and practical for us to make visits to our vendors in the USA. We see what they do, how they do it and have developed strong personal relationships with the business owners. All of that makes for the best possible product when all is said and done. Our line of low voltage LED billboard and security lights are produced by one of these small US based factories. They are made in sizes from small to large to handle a variety of LED lighting jobs. All of them can be operated with an AC-DC power supply and as an added bonus, they’re solar ready. As you may know, solar panels collect energy from the sun and use it to charge batteries. The batteries then power the LED light. During the charging cycle, the voltage can sometimes rise above normal levels. These LED floodlights are built to handle 32V spikes for up to 3 minutes with no damage to the LEDs. Another common feature is that all of these LED floodlights will operate at 10-15 VAC or 12-16 VDC. That’s important if you have existing low voltage landscape lighting in place and want to add to the existing system. Recently, a customer of ours ordered a different brand of 12VDC security lights from us and blew four of them before he figured out he had AC power and not DC at the site. The smallest of these LED floodlights is a 3 LED, vandal resistant security floodlight. It’s perfect to Mount under eaves or soffits and makes a great driveway or backyard security light. It produces 1160 lumens, the equivalent of a 75-90 watt incandescent light source with a power consumption of only 9 watts. You can leave this on all night without worrying about your electric bill. A medium size, rectangular housing accommodates either 3 or 6 LEDs. Depending on the model you select, these medium sized LED lights can be used as billboard lights, LED sign lighting fixtures or LED security lights. Lumen output is 1200 lumens for the 3 LED model and 2340 lumens for the 6 LED model. That’s equivalent to between 75 and 175 incandescent light output with a power consumption of only 800 to 1500 mA. The Big Daddy’s have either 12 or 18 Led and are the floodlight of choice for LED billboard or sign lighting tasks. They’re also great for larger yards or building grounds that need to be well lit at night. Lumen output is 4020 to 5920 lumens or the equivalent of 430 to 650 watts incandescent light output. Consider these larger LED floodlights not only for billboards and signs but for parking lots, wall wash lighting, industrial security lighting or to light up warehouses, engine rooms, alleys and decks. With an IP65 rating and Operating temperature range between -30C-60C (-25F-140F), you can depend upon reliable lighting in most normal conditions. By the way, LEDs do not have a ‘start-up time’. They come on right away without having to warm up and aren’t badly affected by the cold as some other light sources are. If you’re not sure what size you need for your lighting job, review our LED billboard lighting tips. That PDF file will give you an idea of how far apart you’ll need to space your lights and how many you will need. The best practice is to buy one to try and see for yourself. You may need to move up to the larger lights or move down to a smaller one depending on your particular conditions. The entire line is in stock. If you’re planning a larger lighting project, let us know. We can have a trial piece of one or more sizes on it’s way to you the same day ordered in most cases. We’ll work with you from there to determine the right light and the right number of lights for the job. Our interest in developing new, strong relationships with USA LED producers is high. If you know of a company based in the USA which offers LED products, please let us know. When we say “USA LED producers” we do not mean companies based in the USA which has their products made offshore and simply warehouse the goods here. We’ll appreciate any tips. Thank you for your customer loyalty over the years. We’d love your feedback. Let us know how we’re doing.
