Although many LED products are now produced with high power Cree and Epistar LEDs, 3 and 5mm loose LEDs haven’t quite gone the way of the dinosaur. Some of our most popular small LED fixtures still employ this durable technology. Our MicroStars, for example, are 3mm LED lights and our Northstars are 5mm LED lights as are our LED bullet lights. The 3 and 5mm LEDs function very well in single LED applications and are used in landscape lighting, as accent lights, and as indicator lights. Over the years, our business profile has changed. In the early days (late 90’s) interest in discreet LEDs was very high. Many people, both individuals and corporate buyers, were eager to experiment and purchased hundreds and even thousands at a time. That’s not so today as more and more finished LED goods entered the market and are so reasonably priced, it doesn’t always make sense to start from scratch on your own. So as our inventory of bulk LEDs has dwindled down, we are not replenishing it. Now is the time to buy up these bulk LEDs at extreme savings.
